The Cock Tavern is located under the covers of Smithfield’s meat market, and is perhaps the best place to eat meat in London. The pub is located underground in East Poultry Avenue, and is a shrine to all things meat related. The walls are adorned with various photos of the market in years gone by. Being located within the market, the bar has a license from very early in the morning, so the market workers can get a drink after a hard morning of work. The breakfasts are legendary, although if you are a vegetarian it is best to steer clear.
