The heart of the Duck lies in its bar, which with its picture filled walls, oak settles and log fires has remained relatively unchanged over the years. Well kept Jennings Bitter and Theakstons Old Peculiar are served as well as our own beers - ’Cracker Ale’, ’Tag Lag’ and ’Chesters Strong and Ugly’ which are brewed at the Duck in The Barngates Brewery. This choice and a wide range of wines and spirits make the bar a very popular place in which to relax in a timeless atmosphere.
